November 27, 2012 NEW NET Meeting At Sergio's Grill & Restaurant

This week's Northeast Wisconsin Network for Entrepreneurism and Technology (NEW NET) meeting will be at Sergio’s Restaurant, 2639 South Oneida Street, Appleton, WI, USA from 7 - 9 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012.

The preliminary version of this week's NEW NET issues list will be put on the blog tomorrow; the plan is to have the final version on the blog at by the 7 PM start of the NEW NET meeting.

Meetings are open to the general public. People of all levels of tech knowledge and expertise are welcome and encouraged to participate in NEW NET; your interest level is more important than your tech expertise. There is no membership fee, formal organizational structure or rigid meeting format. We meet from 7 - 9 PM on Tuesday evenings at Fox Valley locations that have good open wifi, food and beverages.

Website For Fox Valley NEW NET

Hello World!  (And hello to the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin...)

The NorthEast Wisconsin Network for Entrepreneurism and Technology issues (NEW NET) is an informal Fox Valley gathering of tech enthusiasts who enjoy meeting regularly to discuss technology.

At last week's NEW NET meeting, we talked about increasing the number of regular participants at NEW NET gatherings. It was decided we should launch a website and work on connecting with others in the Fox Valley who would:

1. Enjoy monthly focus-topic meetings.
2. Possibly enjoy the weekly Tuesday meetings when we don't have a focus topic.
3. Might enjoy learning new tips & tricks and sharing their tech knowledge.

Bob Waldron registered the website http://foxvalleynewnet.com, Luke set up the website hosting and Andy began working on developing the website. The goal is to have the site live by December 31, 2012.

If you use technology and want to know more about tech or want to share what you've learned, please come to our next NEW NET meeting. Meetings are fun, free, informal, informative, open to the public and cover just about any tech topic you can think of.
